Welcome! Welcome! To another Art Direction portfolio! But just so you know, I’m not a regular Art Director, I’m a cool Art Director.

 

What makes me cool? The nerdiest stuff you could imagine…

My name is Gloria, like my grandma. I’m Colombian, born and raised. Grew up by the beach, so that’s my happy place, or was, until I realized that as an adult I get to gift myself an annual pass to Disney. Spanish is my first language, English is second, and Spanglish my default. I’m a social scientist from Florida State University gone rogue, who finally got the guts to follow her dream of being an Art Director. I don’t say this nearly enough, but YAY ME!

I’m eclectic as heck, so to put me in any one box would be a disservice to myself, and definitely a missed opportunity for you. However, you should probably know some tangible stuff about me (that’s what you’re here for, right)? My Instagram feed is full of comics and puppies, my Podcasts are exclusively true crime, my bookshelf is a collection of fiction and fantasy with a healthy mix of design and copywriting, and my Apple Music is such a mess of genres that I can never leave it on shuffle when there are people around. I do have very curated playlists though because I love me a list. 

 

Some of my natural talents are finding bees and spiders to take pictures of, being a walking Harry Potter encyclopedia, baking the only brownies my chocolate-hating brother will eat, and agreeing to go to every single concert I’m invited to, even if I've never heard of the artist before.
